Patty Cakes

Although I'm in my mid thirties now, I first used the internet when I was in 6th grade.

Being the youngest child of immigrant parents afforded me some, but not many, privillages that my older siblings didn't have. My start is quiet humble. My parents didn't have a much to give us. I believe this helped to build the person I am today. Hardworking and determined, when I set my mind to it. Stubborn link a ox. Which is also my Chinese Zodiac animal.

Born and raised in this slice of paradise we all know as SB. I've always enjoyed being outdoors. I have my father and mother to thank for that. I father grew up hunting with his father in Mexico, a traditon he would pass on to me, and it is something I would like to pass on to my offspring. My mother grew up on a ranch. Something I would like to own when I get older.

I also grew up playing sports, mostly futbol. It was taboo to speak of other sports in our household. Well, not really but home was strickly Spanish only. Mainly because I father and mother did not want us to lose such a crutial part of our culture. I palyed a lot of hockey, basketball, and football. Still play hockey and basketball.

These are the earliest years of Pat. Before he was Estrada and when Mr. Estrada refered to my pops. I grew up on the Lower Westside. Just down the hill form McKinnely Elementary. Spent most of my time outside playing with my friends in the apartment complex we all live in. Life was easy and fun with the exception of school. Was never a big fan. :)

During this time I loved playing soccer. AYSO saturdays, loved crushing teams. This is when I learned what the mercy rule was.

12-24

These are the years that really formed the person that I am today. Made the friends that I still hangout with to this day. Found I have a passion for art and enjoy creating things with my hands.

In college, I found my professional passions, graphic design and teaching (Super fortunate that I get to do both now). I also took time off from school for a few years. Then went back.

25-Now

Went back to school to get my teaching credential. Well worth it. Still play sports and found my new passion. Travelling. Travelling allows me to experience new places and helps to appriciate what I have and what I've worked for.

I also met my wife. We both enjoy traveling and camping. Most recent development is that we are both going to be parents.
